The things people ask before they call
Common questions
Is this legal in Mexico?
Yes. Ibogaine and the other medicines used in our protocol are not scheduled substances in Mexico, which is why medically supervised treatment programs operate here legally. They are not legal for this use in the United States.
How safe is ibogaine?
Ibogaine carries real cardiac risk and must never be taken casually or unsupervised. Almost every reported adverse outcome involves unscreened patients, undisclosed medications, or the absence of monitoring. Our protocol requires an ECG, echocardiogram, cardiac stress test, and corrected electrolytes before administration, with continuous monitoring throughout.
How long is a stay?
[PLACEHOLDER — client to confirm. Typically 7–10 days: two days of evaluation and detox preparation, treatment, then integration days before travel.]
How do I get there?
Fly into San Diego International. We arrange ground transport from the airport or the San Ysidro border crossing to the property in Rosarito — roughly 30 minutes. A valid passport is required.
What about my current medications?
Send your full medication list during the consultation. Several common medications — including some antidepressants, opioids, and antiarrhythmics — must be tapered before treatment, and that taper is planned and supervised, never abrupt or self-directed.
Will I be in withdrawal when I arrive?
Often, yes, and that is expected. Detox support begins on arrival with hydration, electrolytes, IV therapy, and comfort medication where indicated. Treatment does not begin until you are stable.
Can family stay in touch?
Yes. We agree a contact plan with you on arrival, including who we may speak with and how often. Treatment days are protected time. [PLACEHOLDER — client to confirm phone and visitor policy.]
What does it cost?
[PLACEHOLDER — client to confirm pricing, deposit, and what is included. Insurance is generally not accepted for treatment outside the United States.]
What happens after I leave?
You leave with a written integration plan and continued check-ins from our team. Plant medicine opens a window; aftercare is what keeps it open. [PLACEHOLDER — client to confirm aftercare duration.]
Is this a guaranteed cure?
No, and anyone telling you otherwise should be treated with suspicion. What we offer is a medically supervised interruption and a serious plan for what follows. The outcome depends heavily on what you do with it.
